Richmond, VA – On Saturday May 23, both RIO Car Wash locations in the Richmond area donated $2,849.50 to the Richmond SPCA. The car washes are located at 8220 Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond and 11100 Hull Street in Midlothian.
“We were thrilled to be able to support such a great organization and we’re proud and thankful for those in the community that came out to support the event by getting their car washed,” said Jeff Small, owner of RIO Car Wash. “RIO Car Wash is committed to helping organizations that serve the needs of our community whenever possible.”
The Richmond SPCA is a no-kill, private humane society dedicated to the principle that every life is precious. The organization saves the lives of more than 3,500 homeless animals each year. As a national leader in humane care and education, they are building a more compassionate community through education, adoption, rehabilitation, pet-retention, advocacy, spay/neuter programs and more. “Our community’s homeless animals are fortunate to have philanthropically-minded businesses like RIO Car Wash lend their support,” said Robin Robertson Starr, chief executive officer of the Richmond SPCA. “Through this event, RIO turned concern for our community’s homeless pets into action by raising much-needed funds that will save lives.”
